All-China Youth Forum of Slavic Cultures took place in Beijing

The All-China Youth Forum of Slavic Cultures took place at the Beijing Russian Center on December 7. It was attended by more than 100 scholars and researchers of Slavic studies. The event was organized by the Russian Center in cooperation with Institute of the Russian Language of the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU.)

Director of the Institute of Russian Language, head of the Russian Center Professor Dai Guiju opened the forum. In total, it included four sections: on the modern development of Slavic studies in China, on the study of East Slavic languages ​​and cultures, including Russian in the system of Slavic languages, on the similarities and differences between the South Slavic and West Slavic languages ​​and East Slavic, on programs and methods of teaching the Russian language and other Slavic languages ​​at Chinese universities.

Those present agreed that the study of Slavic languages ​​and literatures helps young scientists to better understand the relationship between the Russian thought and Slavic civilization.
