Performances, exhibitions, master classes on making nesting dolls and other events are included in the program of the Russian Culture Week, which has opened in South Korea. The week is held within the framework of the Year of Cultural Exchanges, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and South Korea,  Korea JoongAng Daily reports.

The Russian Culture Week was organized with the support of the Russian Embassy in South Korea. Ambassador Andrei Kulik noted that over the decades of diplomatic relations, the countries have formed a solid foundation for partnership. According to the diplomat, Russian Culture Week will make a great contribution to improving mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.

After the opening ceremony, a concert was held with the participation of South Korean bands, who perform Russian folk music. The week will continue with a culinary master class on cooking Russian dishes and a lesson on making nesting dolls.
