A crew consisting of cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin and Japanese space tourists Yusaku Maezawa and Yozo Hirano have safely returned from space to Earth, Roscosmos reports. The reentry module of Russia’s Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft landed on the morning of December 20, it undocked from the ISS three hours before.

The rehabilitation program awaits the cosmonaut and the space tourists now. Besides that, all three will become participants in post-flight scientific experiments. Rehabilitation takes two to three weeks.

The tourists became participants in experiments that took place as part of a scientific program on board the ISS. In addition, they performed tasks from Internet users, filmed the process on camera and posted it on Youtube.

The crew delivered into orbit New Year's gifts for the Russian crew members, props for their missions, as well as edible souvenirs - Japanese food adapted for use in space.

The Japanese billionaire and his assistant became the first tourists in more than ten years to fly to the ISS on the Soyuz spacecraft. During preparation for the flight, they studied the Russian language.
