The Russian capital has taken the 1st place in the ranking of innovations in the fight against coronavirus among European cities. It also became the 3rd in the world list preceeded by San Francisco and New York, and being ahead of Boston, London and many other cities. About 100 cities and 40 countries are listed in the ranking, RIA Novosti reports.

The research was conducted by the StartupBlink agency. According to Moscow's mayor Sergei Sobyanin, during the coronavirus pandemic, Moscow has introduced about 50 innovative solutions to counter the spread of the dangerous virus.

These solutions include artificial intelligence-based computer vision algorithms that have helped radiologists analyze over three million studies. In addition, the city created a cloud platform that brought together healthcare specialists and experts in other domains to find solutions aimed at adapting the life of Muscovites in a difficult period.
