A photo exhibition kicked of in this city to commemorate this event.

An Orthodox funeral service for the deceased emigrants was held in the Consulate General of Russia's church of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Kings Constantine and Helena.

An exhibition of restored photographs dedicated to the events of those years has opened in the Cultural Center of Gelibolu. Besides that, a photo album compiled by professors of universities in Canakkale and Izmir was presented to the public.
