Moscow tops governance category in European innovation index

Moscow has topped the ranking of the ''Future City ESG Innovation Index''  in the "Governance" category, TASS reports. The Russian capital was also ranked second in the ESG Social Capital and ESG Entrepreneurs Community rating groups.

The ranking is compiled by Munich-based analytical company DEEP Ecosystems. In the overall ranking, Moscow is ahead of many European capitals and megacities. 

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin shared the story of the city's success on social networks. According to the mayor, more than 130,000 tech companies are functioning in Moscow, an increase in ESG-oriented organizations is recorded. This success has been achieved thanks to favorable conditions for innovative development and its practical usage, the mayor summed up.
