The KovBAD food supplement can reduce the concentration of coronavirus in 16 times, RIA Novosti reports. The supplement was developed by the scientists of Russia's Ministry of Defense.

According to the head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the supplement has already received a registration certificate.

The tests showed that the amount of the virus in the nasopharynx is halved just one day after the start of application of the drug. On the 6th day, the concentration of the virus became 16 times less. Thanks to this, the detrimental effect of the virus on the body is reduced, and the likelihood of complications is reduced.

The key ingredients of KovBAD are chokeberry extract, echinacea, fucoidan, Pacific squid hydrolyzate and other substances of natural origin that increase the body's antiviral defense.

Scientific institutions of Russia's Ministry of Defense have been working on means to combat COVID from the very beginning of the pandemic. In particular, the specialists of the Ministry of Defense worked together with the Gamaleya Center on the creation of Sputnik V.
