Volgograd and Coventry create joint project telling about sister cities

Pictures, drawings and photographs made by about 300 children and adults will be included in the ''Volgograd-Coventry Digital Tablecloth'' project, which will tell about the history and modern life of the Russian and British sister cities. The project is supported by the Presidential Grants Fund, TASS reports.

Within the framework of the project, a fabric cloth with a size of about 1.40x1.24 m and its online copy will be made. The cities will keep the canvas in turns.

The project is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of partnership between Volgograd and Coventry. Back in 1943, when the women living Coventry sent a tablecloth to the residents of Stalingrad with words of support.

A series of online meetings for children, students, artists, photographers taking part in the project will be launched in December.
