The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again recalls the need to start an honest dialogue on all the tensions between Moscow and Washington. According to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, this conversation should be built on mutual respect.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has no doubts that the situation in the diplomatic sphere will continue to escalate taken into account thay the American authorities want to expel more than 50 Russian diplomats from the country.

There are about 130 employees of the American diplomatic mission in Russia. At the same time, there are no more than 200 people in the Russian diplomatic mission in the States. In addition to the embassy in Washington, there are Russian consulates general in New York and Houston.

The United States still has a free quota of almost 500 diplomatic workers, Zakharova recalled. At the same time, the Americans claim that the number of Russian diplomats in the United States is almost four times greater. In this list, they include diplomats who work for the UN and are not related to the Russian embassy.
