The Moscow Synodal Choir under the direction of Alexei Puzakov performed in Rome. The concert was held at the Russian Center for Science and Art in Rome with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.

The performance of the oldest choir in Russia (this year it turned 300 years old), was included in the series of events within the framework of the working trip to Italy of Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

The concert featured works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Georgy Sviridov, Metropolitan Hilarion, Pavel Chesnokov and other authors. In addition, the choir performed Russian folk songs.

The Moscow Synodal Choir presents Russian sacred music all over the world. In mid-September, the choir took part in the Days of Spiritual Culture in Uzbekistan.
