The head of the Tchaikovsky Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra (BSO), conductor Vladimir Fedoseev, performed on the eve of October 7 in Sofia. Russian pianist Alexandra Masaleva took the stage as a soloist with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, TASS reports.

The concert program included works by Tchaikovsky, as well as music by Alexei Shor.

According to the pianist, this is her first performance in Bulgaria and the first experience of working with Vladimir Fedoseev. She called him "an amazing conductor."

Vladimir Fedoseev highly appreciated the Bulgarian musicians. He called the orchestra "great." The conductor noted that their work was very convincing and once again proved that Russians and Bulgarians had a lot in common. ''I am very glad that I had the chance to perform in front of the Bulgarian audience and introduce Tchaikovsky,'' the maestro said.
