Russian Language Week takes place in 15 countries

Russian Language Week kicks off on October 25 in Slovakia, Qatar, Libya, Spain, Czech Republic, Austria, USA, Jordan and CIS countries. Its program includes lectures, reports, discussions of topical issues related to the study and popularization of the Russian language around the globe.

The week is going to start with keynote speeches from the rector of the Pushkin State Institute of Russian Language Margarita Rusetskaya, Governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Natalya Komarova, representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexander Kharlov. 

Foreign diplomats, representatives of public organizations and universities from different countries, heads of Russian centers of science and culture, teachers of Russian schools abroad will also address the participants and guests.

The Russian Language Week will last until October 29. The program includes lectures, seminars, round table discussions, classes and meetings on teaching and learning the Russian language abroad, literary evenings. Lecturers will focus on teaching the Russian language during the pandemic and topical issues of the development of the Russian language.
