Musical "Russian Tuesdays" start in Austria

The new series of concerts entitled "Russian Tuesdays" have started in Austria, the Russian Embassy writes on its Facebook page. 

"Russian Tuesdays" is a joint project of the St. Petersburg House of Music and the Brucknerhaus concert center. The first concert featuring pianist Elizaveta Ukrainskaya and clarinetist Lev Zhuravsky is scheduled for October 18. They are going to perform works by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Bernstein and Tsfasman.

Elizaveta Ukrainskaya, the 24-year-old graduate of the St. Petersburg Conservatory, is the winner of international competitions in Germany, Great Britain and Italy. 20-year-old Lev Zhuravsky is is a student of the St. Petersburg Conservatory and a soloist of the Mikhailovsky Theater Orchestra.

The project was launched almost ten years ago. Young and talented Russian musicians perform in Linz every year. The most gifted of them are invited to perform in the Brucknerhaus itself and its orchestra.
