More than 300 Syrian children are going to become students of the new Rassvet Russian language learning center in Jabla, TASS reports.

The center plans to conduct lessons on Russian culture, language, and history. Trips to Russia will be organized for students of the center in the future.

A huge contribution to the creation of the Rassvet Center belongs to the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo, the Russian Humanitarian Mission, as well as Russian compatriots. The organizers also thanked the local authorities and the Syrian Ministry of Education for their assistance.

According to the director of the center, Muhammad Maruf, the idea of its creation came after it became clear how much the interest in learning the Russian language had increased in the country. The head of the center, who graduated from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), is confident that his work will further strengthen the humanitarian ties between Russia and Syria.
