50 Russian universities entee top list of Engineering and Technology schools by THE ranking

50 universities from Russia have been included in the Engineering and Technology section of theTimes Higher Education World University Rankings 2022. The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) is among the top 100 of the best universities in the world according to the subject ranking of THE in the Computer Science category, TASS reports.

MIPT has managed to significantly strengthen its position in the rating compared to last year, moving up 20 pointss. This year, the Russian university took 71st place. 

In total, the ranking included almost 1200 universities from 85 states. The best results among Russian universities were shown by Lomonosov Moscow State University and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (positions 201-250.) Six of the top ten educational institutions are located in the United States, two - in the United Kingdom, and two more - in Switzerland and Singapore. The first place, as in the previous year, is taken by Harvard University from the United States.
