International Festival of Russian Orthodox Culture took place in Vienna

The International Festival of Russian Orthodox Culture finished in Vienna, the Pravoslavie.ru website reports. The name of the festival is "East meets West". The cultural forum was dedicated to the 800th anniversary of Alexander Nevsky, the great Russian prince and commander.

The opening ceremony took place in the Vienna Cathedral of St. Nicholas with the performance of the local choir. The student choir of the Kiev Theological Academy and the Viennese male soloist ensemble Orthodoxie performed during the festival.

The festival of the Orthodox Culture took place for the first time.
