Online Russian language course for tourism workers kicked off in Tanzania

03.09.2021

The Russian Center of the University of Dodoma has launched an online Russian language course for tourism workers.

The aim of the course is to give all interested Tanzanians the opportunity to get acquainted with the terminology and language clichés most often encountered in the field of tourist services.

The main motive for choosing Russian as a foreign language at the University of Dodoma is its usefulness for the sphere of tourism. However, due to the specifics of the language (difficulty in mastering writing, case system, verb types), the specific vocabulary is usually introduced at an advanced stage of training.

The course aims at intoducing the vocabulary need for tourism secot at the beginner stage of language learning. Classes are held twice a week via Zoom.

Video recordings of the meetings are avialable on the YouTube channel of the Russian Center of the University of Dodoma.
