A resident of Great Britain Nikita Gretsi is going to set out for a long journey on the horses of the Yakut breed, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper writes. The native of Russia called his project "The Last Great Journey".

The horse expedition starts in Magadan. Before setting off on a journey, the traveler thoroughly prepared for the expidition. He practised horse riding in Mongolia. He also visited the cold pole in Oymyakon to test himself and his equipment in extreme conditions.

The project had to be postponed for almost a year, since the borders were closed due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation. When trips became possible, he purchased horses in Yakutia and tested them in action.

Nikita Gretsi considers Yakut horses to be the most resilient. They will be able to go forward despite bad weather conditions. Animals of this breed are able to withstand 60-degree frosts and obtain food from under the snow.

Every day the traveler will have to overcome at least 50 kilometers. It will take him 1,5 years to get to London, and two more months to return to Magadan.
