The Balkan center of Russian studies appeared in Bulgaria. It was organized on the basis of the Kamchia resort house and educational complex on the initiative of the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language.

According to the organizers, the new center will become an open platform for bringing together RSL teachers from various countries in the region. They will be able to exchange experiences, discuss new ideas. The center will provide an opportunity to conduct various educational and scientific events.

It is planned that the center will conduct research on the Russian language index in the Balkans. It will also play the role of a center for bilingual children. An online school for studying the Russian language for foreigners and refresher courses for teachers of the Russian language will be launched soon.
