The Fifth Animation Festival in Berlin will take place October 1-3, screenings and master classes will be held at the Russian House. The festival traditionally acquaints Germnas with modern Russian animation.

The festival is hosted by the Animation Network Berlin. The Russian animation section for children was curated by the director of the Big Moscow Cartoon Festival Dina Goder. This section will feature the most striking cartoons from Russia released in the last four years, including the winners of various festivals.

The organizers note that the festival gives viewers an opportunity not only to get acquainted with the best works of modern Russian animators, but also to improve their knowledge of the Russian language. Cartoons from other countries will also be screened during the festival.

During the master classes, participants will learn to create interesting characters from fabric, wire and other objects. Children and adults will study the basics of animation. Classes will be conducted in Russian, German and English.
