Exhibition dedicated to Russian women opens in Australia

The official opening of an exhibition dedicated to Russian women took place at the Adelaide Migration Museum. The exhibition became popular with the residents of the city, its work was extended for two weeks, the Edinenie newspaper reports.

The opening ceremony was attended by photographer Ekaterina Shipova-Bell, who told about the work on collecting material about Russian women in Australia. According to her, the Firebird Association of Russian Women in South Australia, as well as other Russians helped her to organize the exhibition. 
 
The exhibition was also supported by the Historical Society of South Australia and the Adelaide Migration Museum. Unique photographs and other exhibits can be seen until October 10.
 
The exhibition features portraits of Russian women living in Australia, as well as their biography. In addition, the exhibition displays personal and family belongings of the heroines, including icons, medals, old children's toys.
