Russian films included in Beijing Film Festival program

Nine films by Russian directors will be included in the Beijing Film Festival program, RIA Novosti reports. The various programs included nine works by domestic directors. Andrey Zaitsev's Siege Diary will be competing for an award in the main competition.

According to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova, the Beijing Film Festival, which will be held for the 11th time, is an excellent platform for strengthening of cooperation with international partners. 

Roskino CEO Evgenia Markova has no doubts that the successful launch of Russian Film Festival in China has increased the number of Russian films that can be seen by local audiences. Russian movies have shown on of the best results in the Chinese box office compared to otther foreifn countries, she added.
