The United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space has supported the proposal of Roscosmos to create a Eurasian Space Education Center, TASS reports.

According to the UN, it is planned to develop cooperation with countries with an interest in strengthening human potential in the space industry.

The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin is sure that the Eurasian Space Education Center will gain great importance in achieving the UN sustainable development goals. Roscosmos also explained that the concept of creating a UN regional center for space science and technology, distributed over Russian territory, is unique since currently there is no such center either in Russia or anywhere else in the world.
