A memorial plaque in honor of the Russian pilot Viktor Fedorov, who fought during the First World War as part of the French air forces will appear in the French cemetery. The plaque will be installed in March 2022 to mark the 100th anniversary of the hero's death, the Russian Memory in France ( Memoire Russe) association reports on its Facebook page.

The installation of the plaque and the repair of the area where Viktor Fedorov's grave is located were discussed at a meeting between the head of the Russian Memory in France association Sergei Dybov and Army General Barcelini, president of the French Memory association (Souvenir Français).

The French Memory will repair the entire site, where a memorial plaque in honor of the Russian pilot will be installed next spring. The Russian Memory in France appealed to Russians and compatriots with a request for help in finding a high-quality photograph of the pilot.

Two years earlier, the association restored the grave of the second Russian pilot in the French air forces, Pavel Argeev, who is also buried in France.
