The Sputnik Light coronavirus vaccine has shown good results following the vaccination of Paraguayans, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said. It has demonstrated an efficiency of over 93% and a high level of safety, RIA Novosti reports.

The Ministry of Health of Paraguay analyzed information on 320,000 people who were vaccinated with the drug by the end of July. It is reported that doctors have not recorded cases of death, myocarditis, pericarditis, cerebral venous thrombosis, other dangerous pathologies and any serious undesirable consequences that could be associated with vaccination.

According to the head of RDIF Kirill Dmitriev, the one-component Sputnik Light enables the Paraguayan authorities to accelerate the formation of herd immunity in the country.
