Argentina starts Sputnik V vaccination produced in the country

Vaccination against coronavirus in Argentina continues with the Sputnik V jab produced in the country, RIA Novosti reports. According to the Prime Minister Santiago Cafiero, more than one million doses doses of the jab manufactured by the Richmond laboratory, were already delivered to the Argentine Ministry of Health. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers promised that their distribution to start immediately.

The Ministry of Health added that the both jab doses are being produced in Argentina. TheThe Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology has approved the quality of the Russian jab produced in Argentina.

As Russkiy Mir reported, studies conducted by specialists from the Argentine Ministry of Health have confirmed the safety of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. Argentina uses three types of jabs for vaccination, including Sputnik V. At the moment, the number of those who received both components of the vaccine is approaching 7 million, and the number of people vaccinated with the first components is almost 25 million people. Studies show that more than 90 percent of Argentines vaccinated with Sputnik V have acquired long-term immunity.
