Cosmonaut Titov proved that one can live and work in orbit 60 years ago

Roscosmos has opened webpage dedicated to Soviet cosmonaut Gherman Titov, TASS reports. It is timed to 60 years anniversary of the the second astronaut’s flight in the Earth history. Titov has passed a whole day in orbit on August 6, 1961. The flight of Gherman Titov proved that one can live and work in orbit.

Users can get acquainted with the astronaut's biography and memories of him, learn about the flight parameters (for now in Russian).
 
Gherman Titov made first photograph our planet from space. He was the first to manually control the spacecraft, eat and sleep in zero gravity.

The Moscow Museum of Cosmonautics also celebrates the anniversary of the flight of German Titov with the 17 Space Dawns of Gherman Titov exhibition Its opening was attended by the widow of the cosmonaut Tamara, the daughter of Yuri Gagarin Elena, and cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Alexander Kaleri. There are historical documents from the Titov family and from the state archives, along with memorabilia from state museums and private collections.
