Russian schoolchildren win 7 medals at the International Olympiad in Linguistics

Russian schoolchildren got seven awards at the International Olympiad in Linguistics, RIA Novosti reports. The tournament took place last week and ended on July 24.

The competitions were traditionally held in two stages. Teams from more than 30 countries took part in it.

Latvia was the organizer of the Olympiad this year.

Among the prize-winners and winners of the tournament are five students from schools in the Russian capital. The gold medal was awarded to Elvira Ageeva.  Alexandra Limonova, Olga Zinovieva and Artem Borisov became silver medalists. Ilya Tarasov won a bronze medal.
