Foreign minister: Russia appreciates Germany's high level of trust

Russia appreciates the high level of trust and mutual understanding that has been preserved between the peoples of Russia and Germany, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated in his greetings to the participants and organizers of the conference of partner cities of the two countries. The Russian minister is confident that this is one of the most important conditions for maintaining stability in Europe and Eurasia, TASS reports.

Lavrov stressed the significant contribution of cross-cutting initiatives to maintaining contacts between Russia and Germany.

The minister recalled the great success of the Year of Scientific and Educational Partnerships, which ended last year. The program of the Year of Economy and Sustainable Development turned out to be very fruitful; it is aimed at developing cooperation in innovation, transport, energy and many other sectors.
