Readers of Czech newspapers criticized the attacks by the authorities of their country on Russia. Previously, Prague accused Moscow of the involvelment into arms depot blast in 2014 and demanded compensation for damages. Czech Internet users called the accusations against Russia unfounded, calling the Czech authorities "blackmailers", RIA Novosti reports.

One of the commentators said that the government, which demands money from Russia by means of threats, without providing any evidence, is engaged in a simple blackmail. This opinion was supported by other users who accused the Czech authorities of "intrigues" and "lies". One of them compared the Czech charges to a speeding ticket that was not measured.

Another noted that Prague "still cannot conjure up evidence", but continues to insist that Moscow is involved in the explosions. One of the readers saw in these events an attempt to embroil the Czech Republic with Russia and squeeze Prague out of the Russian market. ''In recent years, Russia has stopped the wars started by the West,'' one of the readers emphasized.

In April, 18 Russian embassy officials were expelled from the Czech Republic. The decision was made under the mythical pretext that they were allegedly related to the Russian special services. In addition, it was announced in Prague that it was the Russian special services that were involved in the explosion at Czech military depots in 2014. In return, Russia declared 20 Czech diplomats persona non grata.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned the decision of the Czech government and called it a "caricature".
