The first meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the American President Joe Biden will take place on Wednesday, June 16. The summit will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, RIA Novosti reports. The presidents will discuss several issues of bilateral cooperation. At the same time, experts on both sides are confident that there will be no breakthroughs.

It is planned that the conversation will last about five hours. The presidents are not limited in topics. It is expected that they will touch upon the pandemic, combating crime in cyberspace, climate issues, the Arctic, the economy. The situations in Ukraine, Syria, Libya, Nagorno-Karabakh are also going to be discussed.

In addition, Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden can touch upon the issue of prisoner exchange. Earlier, Putin noted that Washington had been ''catching'' Russian citizens in other countries and imprisoning them for many years. He called these actions by the United States "a violation of all principles of international law."

According to Putin, there are some Americans in Russia who were convicted of crimes, but their number is incomparable with the number of Russians in American prisons.

Vladimir Putin announced that he was ready to discuss the exchange of prisoners between the two countries. In addition, the presidents can discuss the issuance of visas and the work of diplomatic missions.
