Western journalists called coverage of events in Donbass one-sided

Western mass media cover the situation in Donbass one-sidedly, the journalists themselves believe. They spoke about this at an informal meeting of the UN Security Council dedicated to the conflict in Ukraine. Russia was the initiator of the event, TASS reports.

According to French journalist and director Anne-Laure Bonnel, the Western press practically does not touch upon the topic of the United States' involvement in the crimes of the Ukrainian security forces against civilians in southeastern Ukraine.

She noted that the French media are trying to explain the situation in a very simplified way. In addition, their pro-Western position is strikingly obvious. In the West, Russia is constantly accused of engaging in propaganda.

Another participant in the meeting, photographer from Great Britain, Dean O'Brien, noted that he himself was in Donbass, and never saw a single Russian soldier during the conflict.

He also confirmed that Western media do not want to tell the truth. They hide the fact that Ukraine is bombing residential buildings and killing civilians. The photographer called what was happening "outrageous" and promised to return to Donbass. He is confident that the situation should be covered as broadly as possible.
