Russia donates coronavirus vaccine to Angola

Russia has sent 25,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine to Angola as part of humanitarian aid aimed at combating the coronavirus.The delivery was organized by the Russian Embassy in Angola and the Alrosa diamond mining company, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports on its Facebook page.

According to the Russian Ambassador to Angola Vladimir Tararov, the delivery of humanitarian aid is a sign of solidarity with the brotherly Angolan people in the fight against the pandemic that has swept the world. The high-ranking diplomat is sure that the disease can be defeated only if the efforts of all countries are combined.

The Minister of Health of Angola Silvia Lutukuta expressed gratitude for this friendly gesture and the unwavering support provided by Russia in these difficult times.
