60th anniversary of Gagarin's flight event to be held in Italy

The Borodin Russian Center in Merano, Italy will continue the "Gagarin 60. The First in Space" program. The program will include a photo exhibition dedicated to the achievements of Soviet cosmonautics, and a series of events on Russian art, the website of the Moscow Compatriot House reports.

Earlier, the Russian Center in Merano held a series of events dedicated to the anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space. Articles were published in the local press and programs were broadcast on Italian radio, virtual tours of the Moscow Museum of Cosmonautics were organized with the participation of experts. More than 350 schoolchildren from South Tyrol were able to take part in educational walks around the museum.

The information trail, which will open in July on the basis of the first European Star Village in South Tyrol, will house archival images that will tell about the achievements of Soviet designers and cosmonauts in space exploration.

Russkiy Mir

Children and adolescents aged twelve to twenty will take part in a series of creative laboratories on Russian art. The cycle will open with classes dedicated to space. Participants will learn space terms and draw portraits of Soviet cosmonauts.
