The festival, dedicated to the work of Sergei Prokofiev, started on Wednesday, May 26, in the capital of Great Britain, according to the Angliya newspaper. It is timed to the anniversary of one of the most famous Russian composers of the last century. His 130th anniversary was celebrated this year.

The 3-day festival program included performances not only of Prokofiev's masterpieces. The audience will also listen to the music of other composers, his contemporaries and predecessors, including works by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Alexander Scriabin, Dmitry Shostakovich, Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

Artistic director of the festival, pianist Yulia Chaplina and violinist Thomas Gould will take the stage. A concert of amateur musicians is also planned. In addition, performances by the youngest musicians can be heard.
