Exhibition on Dostoevsky to take place in Russia and abroad

The "Fyodor Dostoevsky. Strong Impressions" exhibition opens on Thursday, May 13, according to the website of the Ministry of Culture.

It will be located in the Dahl Museum of the History of Russian Literature. The audience will have a unique opportunity to see historical archival documents, manuscripts, publications of the works of the great writer. They will be complemented by memorial items and works of art: paintings, drawings. Many exhibits are on display for the first time.

Museum Director Dmitry Bak called the exposition large-scale. It occupies two floors of the central building and consists of 15 thematic sections. According to him, the large project will be continued within the framework of international cooperation. The exhibition will run until September 8, and then travel to Italy. It will become one of the largest events of the Russian-Italian Cross Year of Museums.

Everyone who cannot attend the opening ceremony of the exposition will have the opportunity to join its participants online. It will be broadcast live on the Dostoevsky World website. As Russkiy Mir reported, the resource was created by the Dahl Museum of Literature and the Studio of Artemy Lebedev with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture, as well as Omsk, St. Petersburg, Novokuznetsk and Old Russian museums of the writer. The site helps to form an idea of ​​the richest creative heritage and extraordinary personality of Dostoevsky, to acquaint with materials from the collections of museums.
