76th anniversary of Victory over Nazism celebrated in Russia and worldwide

Military parades, online processions of the "Immortal Regiment", laying flowers at the monuments to the fallen, concerts and other events are held in cities of Russia and other countries on May 9 in honor of the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Parades in honor of the Victory anniversary are held in 28 cities of Russia, festive events are planned in almost 400 settlements of the country. 

Traditionally, the main parade is held on Red Square in Moscow; more than 12,000 people and about 200 units of military equipment took part in it. The day will end with a festive fireworks display. It will thunder at 22 o'clock, fireworks will paint the sky of the capital in the colors of the national flag of Russia.

Russian compatriots in different countries of the world have prepared a Victory Day celebration program.  In Sydney and Melbourne, the "Immortal Regiment" action was held in-person. Concerts took place in Adelaide and the Gold Coast, and holiday picnics - in Perth and Canberra.

In the USA, Tunisia and other countries, rallies, festivals, open-air concerts with the participation of artists and treats are planned on Victory Day. In the German city of Saarbrücken, Russian compatriots will hold a rally against Nazism.
