Russian compatriots living in Ireland were offered to join the Garden of Remembrance international action held in different countries of the world in honor of Soviet citizens who died during the Great Patriotic War. Compatriots can become participants in the action by planting a tree near their home, according to RussianIreland.

The organizer of the action was the All-Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory". In the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, 27 million trees were planted in the regions of Russia and many countries according to the number of Soviet victims of the war.

In Ireland, the action is carried out by the "Russian Ireland" cultural association, timed to coincide with the "Garden of Remembrance" action on Victory Day. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was not possible to organize a mass planting of trees, but they decided not to cancel the action. To join it, one needs to plant a tree, take a picture of it and send the picture to the organizers of the action with the hashtag ##СадПамятиДома.
