Venezuelan president calls relations with Russia exemplary

Russia and Venezuela have signed 12 cooperation agreements, TASS reports. They cover everything from finance, energy and defense, to healthcare and agriculture.

The documents were signed during a meeting of the intergovernmental commission. It took place the day before, March 30, in Caracas. The Russian side was represented by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov.

Bolivarian President Nicolas Maduro called the relationship "between the giant Eurasian power on a global scale and the small South American country" exemplary. He added that the next time the intergovernmental commission will meet at a meeting in the next six months.

In January, Sputnik V was registered in Venezuela under an accelerated procedure. Venezuela became the first non-CIS country to test the Russian drug.
