Members of the Nadezhda women's club of friends of Russian culture in Jordan cleared part of the territory of the Bergesh forest reserve from garbage, timed an environmental action to coincide with World Earth Day, the club reports on Facebook.

According to the club members, respect for the environment and environmental problems are relevant for modern society. Russian compatriots on Earth Day combined business with pleasure - they cleared a section of the forest from debris, and also spent time in nature and talked.

In February, the club's representatives organized a memory marathon timed to coincide with the day of the complete lifting of the siege of Leningrad. All participants of the online event were awarded letters of thanks.
