MSU entered world's 100 best universities in subject and industry rankings

Lomonosov Moscow State University is included in the top 100 subject and industry ratings according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) agency, becoming the leader among Russian universities. The study covered almost 1,500 universities from around the world, including 40 Russian universities, TASS reports.

It is noted that over the year Russia has improved its results, 16 Russian universities were included in the top-100, which is three universities more than last year. Moscow State University has become the leader among the institutions of Russian higher education; it is included in the top 100 of 20 ratings. The top-3 also include the Higher School of Economics and St. Petersburg State University.

A QS representative said that Moscow State University is more often than other Russian universities found in the agency's ratings. The capital's university is included in 33 subject and 5 industry lists. The compilers of the ratings, in particular, take into account the reputation of the university in the academic environment and among employers, citation of scientific articles.
