Youth Council of Russian Compatriots established in Latvia

The Youth Council of Russian Compatriots (YCRC) was created in Latvia, this was announced during an online conference of youth organizations of Russian compatriots. The meeting was attended by 20 youth activists, as well as representatives of compatriot organizations, diplomats and other guests, according to the website of the Moscow Compatriot House.

The event was dedicated to working together during the coronavirus pandemic. The participants in the online meeting adopted a resolution establishing the YCRC. They also got acquainted with the  Young Russian Compatriots online platform, which facilitates dialogue and exchange of information between Russian-speaking youth from different countries.

It is reported that the council is being established to interact and exchange information. It will include activists of the Council of Public Organizations of Latvia, the Russian Community of Latvia and a number of other associations. YCRC representatives will take part in conferences of organizations of Russian compatriots in Latvia, held every year.
