The most popular Russian writers of our time have been named. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a study of the MyBook service.

“In the overall standings among the authors of fiction and non-fiction books, one of the most popular writers of our time, laureate of the prestigious literary awards Big Book, Book of the Year and Yasnaya Polyana Guzel Yakhina is in the lead,” said the press service of MyBook. They also noted that the second line of the list was taken by "master of detective prose" Tatyana Ustinova.

Larisa Parfentieva, author of the bestseller "100 Ways to Change Life", took the third place in the rating. The five leaders were closed by the writers Dina Rubina and Elena Rezanova.

This study was conducted in advance of International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8. The MyBook service analyzed more than 800,000 user profiles of the platform and studied statistics over the past year.

For many foreigners, Soviet cars are curiosity and novelty, but for Russian compatriots they symbolize nostalgia and connection with their homeland.
Every year in April we commemorate the glorious day of April 12, 1961. It was the day when Yuri Gagarin, the first man of the new space era, was brought to near-earth orbit by the Vostok-1 spacecraft. The flight lasted just a little over an hour and a half, but it turned Gagarin into a figure that has been admired throughout the world ever since. The feat accomplished by Gagarin 60 years ago inspires us to recall the incredible connection of his story with Lolita Torres - a singer and one of the top actresses from Argentina's golden era of cinema.
