Six Russian artists to participate at Illustrators Exhibition in Italy

Six Russian artists were included in the list of winners of the 2021 Illustrators Exhibition, the website of the Year of Literature reports. The exhibition has been held as part of the Bologna Fair of Children's Literature every year for more than 50 years, it has become the 55th in a row.

This year, more than 3,000 artists participated in the qualifying round. They sent their work from nearly 70 countries. The experts included more than 300 illustrators in the long list. 77 best works were selected from among the finalists. Among the winners were artists from 23 countries. Russia is represented by Anna Desnitskaya, Katerina Gorelik, Elena Bulay, Tatiana Borisova, Olga Epikhina and Lera Elunina. In addition, there is an artist from Uzbekistan - Yulia Drobova.

The winners' works will be included in the fair's large catalog, which is used by book publishing professionals from around the world. This yearbook is published in English and Italian.

The winning works will be presented at the Bologna Book Fair, followed by a two-year international tour.
