The evening of Russian romance songs took place in one of the libraries of the Croatian city of Split. The concert was organized by the Russian Rodnik cultural society with the financial support of the municipality. The concert was attended by Russian compatriots living in Split and Croats who are interested in Russian culture, the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots in Croatia reports on Facebook.

Russian romance songs for the evening were prepared by members of the Rodnik society, members of the Croatian-Russian society Art without Borders and teachers of the Stil studio school. Opera singer Vera Obukhova-Velich took part in the concert. The evening lasted for about an hour, its video version can be viewed on Facebook.

Songs in Russian were performed to the accompaniment of guitar and wind instruments.  The participants of the evening told those present about the history and development of Russian romance, as well as about famous authors and performers of romances.
