Foreign foundations, government organizations apply to the Vector Research Center regarding the EpiVacCorona vaccine, RIA Novosti reports. According to the head of the center, Rinat Maksyutov, almost 50 applications were received. The inquiries concern the possibility of researching the drug or its production in a foreign territory to ensure the safety of its citizens, the director of the scientific organization explained.

The EpiVacCorona vaccine, made on the basis of peptide antigens, was registered by the Vector Center from Novosibirsk in mid-October. The vaccine has proved to be 100% effective.

Two days ago, the 3rd Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection was approved in Russia. The registration process for the drug has been completed. It was developed by the Chumakov Center. In the next two to three weeks, the center promises to release at least 120,000 doses of the vaccine.

At the moment, Russia is the only country that has three of its own vaccines against coronavirus. CoviVac - unlike Sputnik V and EpiVacCorona - is a classic whole-virion vaccine, that is, it contains a whole, but killed virus, and not parts of it.
