Russian kids in US took part in drawing contest

The results of the competition of works by young artists in the United States have been summed up, the website of the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots in the United States reports.

The creative competition among young people from Russia was held for the 5th time. Artists living in the United States took part in this competition. The competition was held by compatriots' organizations, Russian schools and Russian educational centers.

The winners were determined in four age categories: from 4 to 6 years old, from 7 to 9, from 10 to 13 and from 14 to 16 years old.

Participants could choose one of three topics for their work. The first "I am painting Victory" was dedicated to the anniversary of the victory in WWII. The 2nd theme "My Pushkin", was inspired by the great Russian poet. And the third topic ''This is my world'', was devoted to how a child perceives the world.

The organizers said that the youngest participant of the creative tournament is 4 years old, he lives in Alaska. All finalists will be awarded with certificates and gifts.
