World War II photo exhibitions opened in Tanzania

Photo exhibitions dedicated to the history of World War II opened in the capital of Tanzania. They started work on the basis of the Dodoma secondary school, they were organized by the Russian Center for Science and Culture, operating in Dar es Salaam.

The first exhibition tells about the defeat of the Nazi troops near Moscow. The second introduces the history of the Yalta Conference, held in 1945.

Joseph Maganga, who heads the regional administration of Dodoma, spoke at the opening ceremony of the exhibitions. He recalled the important role played by the victory of the Soviet troops over the Nazis near Moscow influenced the course of hostilities in the future. He also spoke about the significance of the Yalta Conference for the post-war world order.

As Russkiy Mir reported, hotel employees in Tanzania began to learn Russian. The country became one of the first with which Russia opened air traffic after its suspension due to the pandemic, and local hoteliers began to actively prepare to host Russian tourists. The program of an intensive special course was prepared by teachers of Russian language courses at the RCSC in Dar es Salaam.
