Putin: COVID-19 restrictions can be gradually withdrawn

The situation with the coronavirus is stabilizing in Russia, it is possible to gradually remove the restrictions introduced in connection with the pandemic. This was stated by President Vladimir Putin during an online meeting with students, RBC reports.

''In general, the epidemiological situation in the country is gradually stabilizing. This morning I listened to reports: the number of recovered is already higher than the number of sick people. The number of infected people is decreasing, it has become less than 20,000,'' the head of state said.

Putin said that the situation in the capital is also leveling off. “This makes it possible to remove the imposed restrictions, to return to a normal educational rhythm,” the president said.

Some of the restrictions were alfready lifted in Moscow started from January 22. The work of museums, libraries and other cultural institutions resumed in the capital, colleges, sports schools and children's leisure facilities returned to their usual routine.
