Students' Day is celebrated in Russia

Russian students celebrate Tatiana's Day on January 25, which is officially called the Day of Russian Students and has been celebrated since 2005, TASS reports. Various celebrations, mass events and actions take place throughout the country. Festive events are scheduled both online and offline.

In particular, the "Student Sports Night" will be organized for the holiday. It starts in Moscow with a round table, where representatives of student sports associations will meet with Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin. They will also take to the ice in a friendly ice hockey match of the Student League championship. Russian universities located in Voronezh, Orel, Arkhangelsk, Simferopol, Kazan and many other cities will join the event.

In Murmansk, skaters from local universities will be in the spotlight, master classes will be held, and a skating disco will take place.

Arkhangelsk students of the Northern Arctic Federal University (NArFU) will open an art object made of ice. According to the organizers, preparations began for its construction in the fall. Colorful ice was frozen in small boxes, from which the hashtag # NArFU and a house were built.

Ural Federal University has prepared a game show. It consists of contests, puzzles and intellectual riddles.

The "Snow landing of the North Ossetia" All-Russian patriotic action will celebrate the holiday in Omsk, Kursk, Chelyabinsk and Bryansk, in Karelia and Krasnodar Territory. Participants of student teams will organize a flash mob, provide patronage assistance to the population in the village, and hold open lessons for high school students.
